NCMS is excited to host a virtual education series beginning in March 2021, running through December 2021. A virtual education event will take place the third Thursday of every month, addressing a new topic for our physician community.

Topic: Inequalities in end-of-life care and what physicians need to know when treating someone with a disability.

Speaker(s): Maurice Scott, MD, Kim Jackson, DO & Julie Reiskin, LCSW, Executive Director of Colorado Cross-Disability Coalition.

Overview: Julie Reisken, executive director of CCD will speak in a panel with Maurice Scott, MD a hospice and palliative care physician joined by Kim Jackson, a family physician who identifies with a disability and works on health policy issues on behalf of the disabled community. This panel will address inequalities in end-of-life care and what physicians need to know when treating a patient with a disability.
