The Northern Colorado Medical Society exists to support our physician members, and despite the significant hardships of 2020, we are prepared to amaze you this year. Thank you for your selfless hard work in 2020, on behalf of the Board of Directors, patients, and the Northern Colorado community. We are so humbled to know and work with you.

This year NCMS put our members first as we all fought COVID-19 together. NCMS was able to provide PPE for NoCO physicians in partnership with CMS. Now NCMS is focusing on providing the best and most up-to-date vaccine information as we work on making sure our independent physicians have access and proper information on the vaccine and its anticipated distribution. NCMS was also the only component society that continued with a virtual event in the Fall, hosting an incredible Legislative Night (view election results here) and consider donating to COMPAC here and to plan a 2021 Virtual Annual Meeting. If you have not registered for our Annual Meeting, be sure to do so. We will provide a celebratory margarita and dinner from the Rio!

As we move into the New Year and as my Presidency comes to a close, I think what I am most proud of this past year was hosting diversity, equity and inclusion training for the NCMS Board of Directors, as well as the initial planning of our virtual education series beginning in March 2021. We have also done a lot of internal management and bylaws work and found an amazing new executive director that will take us to new heights of which you have never seen before. All of these have been major priorities in my vision for this organization as we continue to provide value for our members.
